32nd Guzelyurt Orange Festival will begin on Friday, the 26th of June.

The program of the festival was made public at a press conference today.

Various activities will take place during the festival including pop concerts by famous Turkish singers.

Speaking there, the Mayor of Guzleyurt Mahmut Ozcinar said the aim of the traditional festival is to give a message to the country and to the whole world.

He also added that they are aiming to develop the citrus sector in the country.

The festival will begin with a cortege through the town.

Children’s activities, competitions, folk dance shows, Latin dance shows and pop concerts by famous Turkish singers will take place at the festival which will continue until the 12nd of July.

People will also benefit from sales to take place on the 1st and 8th of July.

We went to the park yesterday and there were lots of workers busy sprucing it up in readiness for the festival. I couldn't see a list of events though.
