Hi Hemmo, Thanks for that information but it doesn't help me find out if the property complaints office is still open or not. I had heard that it had possibly closed due to lack of being able to actually help anyone. The butlers wife

Hi, Last thing that I heard, the HBPG were still advising people to register their house buying problems with the Property Complaints Office, not because there was the remotest possibility that they would actually DO anything, but becauase in the event of suing someone, you could demonstrate that you had officially registered your 'grievance'. Could I suggest that you email Marian Stokes: marian_hbpg@yahoo.com / marian@ayza.net or 'kibrissibel': sibellehodge@hotmail.com - both of them are lovely people, really helpful, and they're BOUND to know (he says, with fingers crossed...) Do let us know when you find out! Keith.

It was a good idea but with no teeth the builders association just ignores them, if the new government is serious about solving the housing problem then they should give the PCO some authority to act against the developers, builders and so called solicitors/advocates but I very much doubt this will happen as it is like a big family and they all want a slice of the expat cake.
