| Just been offered (in UK) a Mitsubishi "Home use Lossnay" (VL-100U-E) ventilator unit. Had a look on net and unit seems to either cool or heat incoming air a few degrees for very little power usage. It was initially bought for use in a Conservatory. Would there be any point in bringing it to my place in TRNC, or not to bother ? Maybe a query for Vaughan or other H&V Engineer ? |

| Mitsubishi Electric is one of the best a/c manufacturers in the world. Their range of Lossnay units are known as heat recuperators. There is a double fan assembly which supplies fresh air from outside whilst extracting stale air from inside. These two air flows are not mixed but they pass through a common heat-exchanger which, in winter, transfers the heat from the extracted air to the incoming fresh air and in summer, vice-versa. The idea is that you don't waste all your heating/cooling energy when you run your extractor fan. They are particularly suitable for modern, very well insulated, draught proof houses in Europe. You might get better results from it in a temperate country like the UK rather than Cyprus. |
