Hi Jim

No problem

Glad to help !

I'm not aware of the IRL / Co Wexford planning constraints. is there a limit on dish size - or is that NOT a problem ;)

You have a choice of a motorised system or having dishes aimed at Hotbirds + Eurobird nine, plus the Astras

Bear in mind that SKY stuff doesn't work with a motorised dish and that Eng lang content on the sats is mostly scrambled... what are you hoping to see ?

If you are after German / French lang stuff then I'd go for fixed dishes that can catch the Astras ( 19.2 and 23.5 ) and another for the Eurobirds at 13 degrees ( hotbird) and Eurobird 9

A 1m dish for each set - fixed - with a twin lnb set up would suffice - if you are aiming at just one bird then a 60cm would suffice - except in heavy rain

Frankly, if you after Eng lang content it's just not worth it

I can call IRL LL numbers for free - so if you need to talk - send me an email - it's on my profile - happy to call and chat..

Hi Jim

Motorised means that you choose the channel you want and the dish moves to the appropriate satellite - than can take 30 seconds from EAST to WEST..

Unless your kids speak more than ENG / Irish you really would be wasting your money - better to buy a SKY dish and two fixed one meter dishes - then when you change channels- it is INSTANT..

I had 7 different dishes on my apartment in Lima(s)sol - you'd be amazed how irritating it is to wait for the dish to move !

Due to scrambled pay tv there is very little content, of interest, that your kids will appreciate :(
