| The 3G service is purely an internet access service, they don't provide email or web hosting. If you already have a SMTP/POP3 email service registered with another ISP, you should still be able to use that via your Turkcell 3G connection. Alternatively you'll have to use one of the many webmail services available, i.e. Google Mail. |

| Thanks MD. I use the modem with other SIMs around Europe with no problem as I always seem to be given a local SMTP with a sim. I use my own domain and therefore my home ISP's smtp (which does not work overseas) or a 3G from T mobile (but I have to use them on horrific roaming charges if I do overseas). So Turkcell appear to be the exception to the rule. But using webmail for business is not really on, hence my purchase of a local 3G sim. Perhaps I will now have to buy one of the 'portable' smtp addresses one sees advertised. But as I am not on a secure connection over here I can't buy one over the net, so the circle goes on ! Thanks guin |
