Hi hammer, Really interesting about the marmite, but probably just coincidence. If it was such a simple solution there wouldn't be milllions of pounds being spent on research. I hate the stuff and don't get bitten! My husband gets bitten less and less over the years, we eat the same food have different blood groups but my friend with the same BG gets bitten. We have tried over many years to find a common theme on people who get bitten the answer there isn't one.

I hate Marmite, and get bitten loads every year. I have bought Skin So Soft this time so we will see what happens. But I also have been told to take odourless garlic capsules 2 weeks before and whilst I'm there.

I think I must have eaten marmite nearly every day of my life, just on toast for breakfast. However, I do get the occasional bite but nothing like some people suffer. Mrs W. Whistler never touches it but he has been taking garlic pearls for years and he NEVER gets bitten!!!!!

Just ordered 2 bottles of the skin so soft dry oil spray...says in the advertising that it can be used as a insect repellent as it contains citronella.... Worked out cheaper buying it on e bay, rather than thru avon cause of the P&P (local avon lady dont deliver to me no more...we had a disagareement...) £6 for 2 bottles including P&P Hope it works

Its the blue/green Avon Skin so soft bottle that does the trick. I get bitten every where I go but have used this for the last 2 years. Had 3 bits in total! Its not greasey or sticky and does your skin good so will stick to that from now on.

Do you just get bitten of an evening or do you have to spray on skin so soft over your sun tan lotion, during the day.

I have tried, marmite, Vit B1 and Brewers Yeast and STILL got bitten. They have been driving me mad, up to 15 bites per night that itch all day long!!! I have had my delivery of Avon Skin So Soft and touch wood, I have not been bitten at all since using this product. I am not too keen on the smell but if it keeps the biters away, I am not going to argue!!! I only seemed to get bitten at night time. Sissy, I would not recommend spraying on this product during the day, as it is oil based and you could end up with sun burn!!! xxx
