Lemonlady I have been trying to find a supplier for 4 years for my marmalade with no success. I just get friends and neighbours to keep all their suitable jars for me and repay them with a jar of marmalade when I make it. Asked some of the ladys at Lambousa on a Saturday and they seem to get them from Turkey!

Thanks for your suggestions. I have looked in 1001 in Girne, without any luck. I'll try the shop at Ercan.

I think you should look again. Perhaps you did not look 'the right place'. They have so many different things. 1001 also have a very big shop in Lefkoşa and there is a small 1001 oppersite Girne Municipality.

They did have masses of jars in the Girne 1001, they were at the top of the stairs on the funny stand on it's own but they were quite high up. I think the jam/marmalade size were 1TL but I also ask all my friends and neighbours to save their jars, they soon mount up. Happy jamming

Millsmum, thanks very much, that's brilliant. I will have a look again at 1001, and go to Guzelyurt too! I should end up with more than I need!
