I can shift my deposit from a planned hotel investment to an existing property built by http://www.medviewhomes.com . I need help deciding which of the properties available to me would the best investment both for possibly renting and also myself and my extended family use. I have never been to Northern Cyprus and could use any help you can offer. My budget is around £50,000.00. They have a number of properties either below or around that price but I have no idea of which development is in a good or bad location. I am 34 and enjoy a social but relaxing holiday seen, and would prefer to be reasonably close to surrounding amenites ie. resturants etc. Maybe some of you guys are already living or own property in one of these developments. Look forward to your replys - thanks in advance

| Hi Tyrone, As you have never been to Northern Cyprus you will not have seen where your investment in the hotel is Bogaz is a small fishing village with about four restaurants and a small harbour. For more night life you would have to travel to Famagusta. Why not ask Medview to show you properties they have in the Kyrenia areas. As I think there is more to do for someone your age. | Don't buy anything until you have had an independently financed week or so out in the country. (not an agent sponsored trip!) If you are determined enough you will find out a great deal of information. When I had an 8 day tour to do just that, one agent asked that at the end of the week I brief his local staff as I seemed to have gained more information on the property market than they had. Says something about the quality of some of the agents ! Trust no one, find out in person. HTH guin |

Guiness, If you read Tyrones post, he says he has already paid a deposit to Medview Homes. As I own a Medview home, I know that he will not get a refund but will have to transfer the monies he has paid to another property. Medview Homes have properties all over the TRNC. You need to come over Tyrone and look round them all, then make your mind up where you want to purchase. The butlers wife

Hi Tyrone, Orchard Court in Lapta is a lovely small site. When I have visited it has always been immaculate. Lapta is where everything is going on with plenty of bars and restaurants in walking distance. If you wish to go in to Kyrenia it has a dolmus service, so you wouldn't need to hire a car unless you wanted to. Our site at Esentepe has a mixture of villas, bungalows, 2 bed apartments and they have just completed some one bed apartments. It is quieter at Esentepe but there are 2 bars within walking distance. It is a beautifull site with three large pools. The butlers wife

There was a big shopping market being built not far from Hilltop in Bogaz offering shops and eating places. Within walking distance of Hilltop, Sunrise, Skyline and SeaView. If you are sticking with Medview, (which I would) they normally offer an inspection trip for £1000 which is then knocked off your purchase price. If you havent received this yet but paid a deposit, then push for a free inspection trip and look round. They will put you up in either Sunrise or Hilltop. You can then talk to other owners face to face and get a feel for it yourself. If it is for you to use yourself then you must come and choose your own. Bogaz is a small friendly fishing village, but with a large planned golf course in the offering and only 20 mins from Famagusta with lots of night life. Bogaz has a few bars that have just as many locals as holiday owners. Check out the local estate agenst for Medview properties and then do your bargaining!!! Simfoni 2 bed apartments are very big!

Check out Busy Bees website and see the prices on there. Those are current resale prices so go to Medview with those as facts and happy bargaining.

Hi Tyrone , we have a medview property and looked at all their propertys when deciding to buy on the island ,The quality is very good compared to a lot of other developers. Orchard court was very nice but its quite a way from the main lapta area and their are no amenities on the site ,I have been told that the rental is good in lapta though. We have bought on sunrise beach as the place had a nice feel about it . The owners are also very friendly and we have made some nice friends plus they all seem to try and look out for one another. the restuarant is also good, I know some of the owners rent their properties but are not sure of the demand.Hope this is of help regards eboy
