Hello Dailey No doubt a bit previous with this, but you can save it for when the house-hunting is over! I'm Jo, James Valentine Overseas Removals +44(0)1302 729595, Email: valentineremovals@hotmail.com. We're in Doncaster, Yorkshire but operate throughout the UK. So, working closely with Olaytrans, who are EXCELLENT, we do the initial survey, inventory sheets, costings, packing, export wrapping and loading (operatives trained to BAR standards), prepare the Shipping Lists, mop your fevered brows! then you relax and drink a few Efes while Olaytrans sort the shipping, ease your goods through Customs and deliver to your new home. If you are wanting to 'quantify' the amount of goods you are moving, let me know and I'll Email you an inventory sheet. My Parents moved from Leeds to Ozankoy in the 1970's so we can share some moving experiences! And enlist help with your search.

Hello folks, I'm new on here and we've bought a Sea Vista apartment near Catalkoy. This thread caught my attention reading Jo's comments (and polite chatisement) for advertising her company, as shipping people is also what I do. I won't mention my company but I will say that last year I happened to be visiting our apartment when one of my clients effects were arriving and due for delivery. Much to my wifes disgust I went with them to watch how the customs clearance was done and also how the delivery took place. My wife and I ended up doing the removal at 8pm at night in the dark in some place way past Esentepe. I must say that it was not the smooth service that I expected or sold and I discovered that you really shouldn't start shipping your things until you know your new home is absolutley ready for them. If anybody wants any detailed advice them please email me. Great site by the way. Thanks Paul

Hi Paul Welcome. That is very true. People end up having to put their things in storage because builders fall behind on Contract dates. Karen

Hi Dailey Do your homework , this place is sinking faster than the UK, yes its sunny but resembles a landfill site, goverened by halfwits, inhabited by rip off merchants criminals and money grabbers . The future is a maize of uncertain loopholes, stick to a euro zone they have brains.

hi dixie normus , thats a bit strong dont you think ,most of us are very happy with our properties , and just love nc ,and the people there , and while i agree with you that you have to do your homework , and do your research , and that you can never do too much ,but based on that ,one can make an informed choice , wake up and smell the coffee , your description is indicative of any country in the world , you clearly have some issues , so i am sorry if you have , but to paint nc so black , is most unfair it has its problems just like any other country regards , simbas

hi daily , welcome to the forum , i hope you find it as useful as most of the people using it , there is plenty for you to read and take in , but my advice to you is take your time , dont rush into anything until you are 100% sure , i bought off plan 6yrs ago and have never had cause for concern and have been enjoying holidays there ever since good luck

Hi Simbas, not wanting to offend, many people are happy with their property, but as many ar'nt. This is a beautifull place, not all the people are bad, but Ive seen a rapid decline in NC since my move here 5yrs ago. Many are now moving away, inflation out of control, it may not be as corrupt as a 3rd world African country but its not far off. The goverments a joke , changeing Laws on a weekly basis without informing the people, Lets tell it as it is, so thease people know what there letting themselves in for, as for many once they have flogged their lot in the UK its a hard road back.
