Istanbul,Taksim side..places to see shops

Assume Pegasus gets me from Ercan to Istanbul on time this Friday,AND

CTA get Sandra from Stanstead to Istanbul on time this Friday,have booked an hotel off Taksim square.

So ideas for this side of Istanbul Saturday/Sunday.

My plan was to walk down the Tram street,a little shopping,and maybe to Dolmabahce Palace.

I know Sultanahmet area quite well,so wanted to concentrate on Taksim side.

And a nice .recommendation for Sat.night would be welcomed.

Dont think you will have a lot of time for sight seeing as Sandie said she wants to look for outfits for the wedding, have a great time the pair of you, love to you both

Sheila - I think the shopping was for T-shirts for Mike as he is going through so many with the heat you are having out there that he cannot keep up with the washing - see he needs me there bless! There is a rather shabby hotel called Cartoon Hotel, but if you go to the rooftop restaurant, it's a shock at how lovely it is, you can see all of Istanbul with the 360 degree views, and it's stylish and the food is delicious....a really good recommendation for a romantic saturday night.
