How do you fancy one week in a lux 3 bed apartment by the sea,PLUS one weeks free car hire? In return we are looking for an apartment/house/accom for 2 sensible ladies in SW London, Surrey, Sussex, Kent and use of a car. Driver has been driving 20 years, no convictions.

Once was a TV.show called house swap..good idea. Also wife swap..but Mr Spider would never swap me.

Pogle, if you don't have any luck at the end of the article there are some websites/agencies that you can register with and I think the tips in the article were quite useful!

I read it a few wks back & when I saw your post it reminded me of the article!

We have arainged a house swap with a couple from Dublin for 2 weeks in November. We get their 5 bed victorian house and 2 cars and 2 cats. All it cost us was £16.00 registration fee with http://www.housexchangevacations.com realy looking forwards to this break

Thank you Mr Vince, I will try that one, like the sound of where you are going to. It makes sense really doesn't it, saves both parties on accom costs and can experience the comfort of someone else's home. I hope N Cyprus is appealing enough!

We wrote to the first 30 inserts on the database offering our house for theirs in Dublin and received 27 replies of which 5 were desperate to swap. We had intended to work our way through the 300 entries for Dublin till we found something. Not one of the Irish entries had selected Cyprus or TRNC as a destination. Since we agreed our swap we have had 2 further emails asking if they could sway with us. One house in Cork one house in Dublin.

That is a very positive response from Dublin and thanks for the advice.

I have looked at the site, many members and much better value than some other exchange sites. Please let me know how you get on with your swap.
