Locals TC say then pump "burnt out" replacement parts on the way back in use by friday. Yeah? I read last year the fresh water pipeline from Turkey to Karsiyaka was gonna be finished this month. Wise up, this is fairy land.

They did say that the pump had broken but should have been fixed by yesterday unless anything else has happened.

We have had only a trickle or 2 in the last 3 weeks but several complaints to the Lapta authorities prompted them to send a tanker of water to fill us up at no (additional) charge. We all got between 2 and 3 tons.

So if Lapta belediye are sending out tankers to fill up at no `EXTRA CHARGE` there might be something to this we was promised a tanker to top everyone up 2 days ago, still waiting. thanks JJ.

We are uphill from Simena and are supplied by a spur from the same pipe. Our problem is that they put a certain amount of water in the system and it runs down to the bottom. Only when all the lower houses are full does it back up enough to send some along our spur - often we get none.

I know some 'at the bottom' (I do not include 'joandjelly') who think therefore that there is an endless supply and use water profusely, thus denying it to people higher up the chain.
