Pogle - blimey - I've only been back just over a week. The temperatures must have dropped a lot!

There is an electrical shop in Girne that sells electric blankets.

I'm afraid I don't know the name of the shop but it is opposite the Savoy hotel.

If you are thinking of going and cannot find it, ring me and I will give you clearer directions.

Thank you everyone, always so helpful! It is for a dear friend of mine who really feels the cold, she has asked me to get her one from the UK on my next trip ( for this winter) but I was sure there would be something about here. Thank you Ginty for your kind offer, I am sure my friend would be delighted with that, I will ask her to contact you. Puppylover thank you too, that sounds very reasonable, I had a look on eBay last night and they were £40-£50.

Smithy, would you believe I had a holiday guest call me last August ( 45c!)to ask for a duvet, they had the aircon on 16c of course, all day in every room. Maybe this year someone will ask for an electric blanket too! No surprise I allow a max usage on my electric this year.
