I need to renew my passport soon.

I have not used my solicitor for some time, so I can't ask him.

I don't have a doctor that I use, so thats no good.

So who can I ask to sign the back of my photos?

If you are going to take it to the Consulate in the North:

You do not need to have your photos signed, as you will be handing everything to the official member of staff who will be renewing your passport. He can see the photos and you at the same time.

Do not take your mobile phone in with you, as they will ask you to put it back in your car.

Application forms can be downloaded from the internet.

Hi PC,

Thanks for the assist.

Have you a link to download the form? Can I fill in the downloaded form or must it be an original?

You need form C1 - and your own print of the form is acceptable.

Hi Vaughan

It is very straight forward as I have done it myself. Fill in form, take with photos and passport and Euros [will not accept any other currency]. They telephone you when it is ready for collection [approx 14 days].

Thanks Crofter,

I have heard they are fussy about the photos. Any recommendations for a photographer?

There's a photo shop near your office!

Hi Richard,

Have heard that photo shop (opposite Astro) sometimes gets its photos refused as not meeting requirements.

I had mine done in a little shop down a small lane behind/adjacent to Vekfli (?) bank near the Colony.

Yucel photography on left, just past HSBC does official passport photos, in a proper room, with proper background.

With regards to signing the photos it really does not matter who does it as long as they sign the form to say that they have known you for the requisite period of time. Our friends did mine and they are not or ever have been 'proffessional' people.

Was in Consulate this morning - photos cannot be signed by Consulate official, but can be by your Muktah.
