My machine does this at times. I take out the drawer and wash it under hot water it is often blocked with the conditioner so use a skewer to clean it out. The I wash inside the machine where the drawer goes as it is often clogged up with the washing powder and conditioner.

Have you tried the filter?....it may need cleaning / clearing It should be located a the bottom, front of the machine....normally a squarish box that can be pulled open, or unscrewed. Take out the filter and clean it....when the machine is empty..or else all the water will go onto the floor

The filter would only stop the water going out not in. Check the gauze (if it has one) on the inlet, it may be blocked with debis and build up as the water quality here is rubbish. Is it cold water fill only? Most are now. Col

Dear Colly......sorry, but you are not correct, if the filter is blocked, it will not allow any more water in..as it is unable to complete the cycle as it had not finished emptying or cannot empty. Agree with you about checking the inlet filter ( if it has one )

Getting all hot and bothered now dont want to ring Arcelik again if its something that I might be able to fix and for them to charge me 80ytl for a 2 min call out Sheila |

smithy - try un doing the cold water supply pipe where it connects to the washing machine. The filter here can get full and this will prevent the water getting through. Good luck.

The cold water hose may have a filter at the tap end also, obviously make sure the tap is turned of before you disconnect. Most problems are to do with the outlet filter being blocked (water not emptying from machine), hose inlet filters being blocked (machine not progressing on the wash cycle and not filling up with water) and the jets that feed the dispenser tray being blocked (hard water) with the contents not being purged into the tub.) All of these problems are easily fixable but it is important to use Calgon or equivalent with your washing powder to stop the build up of limescale.

Happens to mine all the time.. Just pull the machine out. Disconnect the inlet hose (the one that runs from under the sink to the back of the machine) With a narrow head pair of pliers, pull out the small filters from the machine end and from the tap end under the sink. Then clean the filters.. You might need some 'Tuz Ruhu' from the supermarket. Fill up a cup with a little TuzRuhu and drop the filters in.. BE CAREFUL with the TuzRuhu though!!! Dont touch the stuff with your fingers and DONT leave the filters in for too long!!

I have just cleaned out the main outlet filter on my daughters washer.Full of rubbish and £3.60pence in coins. The symptons she had were, all the lights on the panel were flashing,it would not empty or spin or fill up,but after I emptied the garbage out of the filter,it works ok now..I took the powder draw out and cleaned half a ton of un used powder out of that, she now uses the tablets in the ball thingy. You can buy some washer cleaner from the supermarkets and run that through about every three months if you have dodgy water over there, might save you for the future..

HI Coachie I only put the powder in the ball and never in the dispenser, mine seems to go through the cycle but when it comes to the filling up no water is coming through and if I take the drawer out you can just see a trickle at the back, I have been using a stiff brush to clean out behind the drawer, will try some calgon tomorrow, after I have pulled the machine out and take the hose off and the gauze inside it I hope thats right, but hey I have to try something Many thanks again for all the info Sheila

paddy The machine is in the hallway and you can only pull it out so far of the cabinet, and if I was strong enough maybe I could push it to one side and get to the tap at the back, but not having a midget around I dont think I could get to it, but tomorrow I am going to have another go, good job I was a girl guide I wont give up ) So many members have been so kind with suggestions Many thanks again Sheila

I don't think anybody has answered the original question which was: "dont know much about them, but it is not taking in the conditioner takes the soap powder, but leaves the conditioner and also extra water in with it after the wash, have cleaned out the 'drawer' but no joy. Quite new washer, but out of warranty, thought maybe something simple, if anyone knows anything about washers please...." I think this is easy to sort out. Take out the draw and clean it well. Now comes the trick. The compartment which takes the conditioner has a short pipe in the middle with an open end. The top cover that goes over this conditioner compartment has a bigger diameter pipe fixed on it. This bigger must go over the thinner pipe. So one pipe must go inside the other pipe. This is how it works. When water goes into the conditioner compartment the level of fluid rises and begins to overflow through the thinner pipe and starts off a syphon action and sucks through the whole conditioner. Good luck. ismet

It now looks like an Arcelik call out I followed everyone's advice, and took the hose off the Machine and also managed to get the little plastic bit out and clean, but nothing seemed blocked as the water was gushing out of the hose, but nothing is coming into the machine except a trickle, I have now flooded my hallway, got about 10 towels out to mop up which I cant now wash, So if anyone out there is looking for a Plumbers MATE please dont call me ) ) ) Sheila

I had arcelik out to my washing machine yesterday. One of the problems was with the conditioner. He said it was because of the water here. The pipe that the conditioner goes through gets blocked & he cleaned it out. Don't know how long the guarantee is with arcelik, but my machine's over 2 years old & we weren't charged.
