re msg 1
New SKY cards - white ones started appearing in new installs in the UK back in late April.
New cards for existing clients in the UK started coming through in the west country about three weeks ago...
I have mine
You SHOULD get a warning msg that your new card is in the post then a msg telling you to insert the new card
Some folk are getting the card before the msg.. some are getting the msg but the card hasn't arrived ! |

| Fairly regularly my Sky+ box displays a msg about going to stand-by if I don't press backup. Hasn't done this before now. Any ideas? |

This is a New Function on the latest software, so make sure you touch that remote control every 3 Hours or your Sky Box will go into Standby. |

I don't know what will happen to the old blue cards that won't be getting a replacement - as they are lapsed viewing cards..
I'm GUESSING the Channel Fives and SKY THREE will stop working....
C5 will go free to air ultimately...SKY Three don't know.. |

| Friend of mine ( west of Eng) got his four weeks ago... the day he left to go on hols.. thought he'd do it on his return.. lost the letter :(
Sky were great.. he owned up.. didn't try to say he'd never had 'em and SKY stopped the msg on his screen "saying please insert new card.. "
He was told he may have to wait another six weeks for new cards ... ! |

I would be careful of checking on-line as the IP address might "give you away"...
You will know SKY have sent it when you get a msg on Screen... |
