Went to the Girne Marine Club last night, small little bar tucked away in the harbour, near the castle, up the cobbled slope. We usually pop in for a drink when we are down there because Hakan and Gunez are really nice people. Hakan has now started cooking and I had king prawns (which were absolutely delicious. Hakan catches the fish himself) and my husband had lamb chops, which he said were lovely. Our meal was accompanied by salad, chips and bread and we could not fault any of it.



They have a beautiful view of the harbour and it makes a refreshing change to ask them if we can eat there rather than being pestered to eat at their place.

I think the place is lovely as well, the views are the best in the harbour and there always seems to be a nice breeze up there. The food is basic but well cooked and very fresh.And as you said no one is nagging you to go in. Got to give them 10 points for that.
