I wonder what the birth rate to car baby/child seat ratio is in the TRNC. Although it is illegal for a child/baby not to be seated securely in a passenger seat, I note on a daily basis children clambering around the back seats or sat on front of the moped with a "responsible" adult driver, the driver in some cases in Girne wears a khaki uniform in the summer and a blue uniform in the winter!



Do the responsible parents who purchase and use a child seat get any tax relief or discounts on other road traffic fines? maybe our new government can come up with an incentive scheme to encourage parents to respect their child's safety.

Aslan - a very interesting point. We have all seen the shenanigans with the kids in cars/on mopeds. My heart goes into my mouth at times!!



I think the incentive scheme sounds like a very good idea; anything has got to be better than the way things are now.
