Transfer money from uk to Creditwest

I am trying to transfer money on line from HSBC uk to My creditwest a/c here. The information they ask for does not match the details I have from Creditwest.

ie. HSBC want Beneficiary name:

Beneficiary address:

Creditwest Give

BENEFICIARY BANK : ING BANK A.Ş

Beneficiary Bank Address : ISTANBUL – TURKEY



BENEFICIARY NAME CREDITWEST BANK LTD





I have also phoned HSBC but they say the IBAN is incorrect as it is Turkey and it will stay there and not be forwarded to my account. There is nowhere on the HSBC form for my A/C number.

Creditwest say they have loads of transfers - no problem and the details they have given me are correct.



Has anyone managed to transfer on line to Creditwest? How ??

I did not transfer money on line but recognise the IBAN set up you must use. I had the same problem with another bank and my money was lost in the system in Turkey / Girnie for a week. You must ensure / I had to ensure that Bank of Scotland put on the account number for Credit West and they kept saying there was no provision on the form for it - but they managed all the same. It was a lengthy phone call and cost £35 plus the transfer charges so only transfer large amounts. I gave up with the other bank. Money came through in two days. So far: Good bank this Credit West

I transferred money from First Direct in UK. I live here in Cyprus & I did this over the phone with First Direct. The member of staff read everyhting back to me. I had the exact instructions on a printed sheet from Creditwest. First Direct (part of HSBC) had no problem with the instructions & the money arrived the next day.

The calibre of staff at First direct is far higher than other banks. The answer, I would suggest, is to change your UK. bank. HSBC in the UK. & here are hopeless IMO.

Creditwest here are generally excellent compared to other banks here.

the Nationwide, does not charge you for spending abroad - much better bank too
