Try Kaminoglu hastanesi;

Past HSBC (from roundabout) first left then 100 yards on right.

Sorry do not have phone number.

Also try Kyrenia Medical Centre, first right past HSBC, then a litle way up on the right.. They can do a CT scan their while you wait, but don't know about an MRI

Apparently was told the public hospital has one (near Ezic Peanuts) and very cheap. Found this out after I went to letam in lefkosa and spent 300 lira!

You have to pay TL 100 in the public hospital if you have an insurance here - don't know how much it will be if oyu come privately.

Had MRI scan at Letam

Terrific even got DVD

Machine old and noisy also full cover so if you suffer from confined spaces, cannot recommend

Although you could spend time with eyes closed as I did

If you need an open MRI you can go to "Alfa" - same price like Letam.

What and whereabouts is Alfa please? I have a metal plate in my leg and cannot have an enclosed MRI, but my doctor here said I would be able to have an open one. I had never heard of them before.

Unfortunately I only know that it is in Lefkosa.

My doctor gave these two numbers to me and I decided to go to Letam because I don't care if it is closed.

But give them a ring - like at Letam the doctors will know English.

I can't remember the name of the place in Lefkosa that does open mri scans but can give you directions as I took a friend there approx 3 months ago.

Go on the main road to Lefkosa over the mountains down to the big roundabout and turn right. The VW garage should now be on your right.

Follow the road up to the next roundabout, which has traffic lights on (there is a garage on the right) and turn right. After a few hundred metres on the left, there is a scanning place. Prices are the same almost as Letam and if you want your report in English you must ask and they will arrange it.

I had MRI done today at Letam in Lefkosa price was 700TL, i was in the machine almost an hour so i think price depends on how much and what is scanned so please be aware that if you are charged more then 300TL which was mentioned in an earlier post you are not being ripped off.
