Hi All, We are coming out on 16.04.08 to view our new apartment in Tatlisu and hopefully do as much in way of furnishing as poss. We have googled and come up with Home Pack Interiors, Mehmet Osman Ticaret Merkezi, Alsancak, Girne, http://www.homepack-interiors.com, and would like to know if anyone has used them and if so any comments welcome. Also looking for a cheap, sorry inexpensive, place to stay for a week 16.04 - 23.04, preferably around Kyrenia. Cheers Steve

Hi Triumphman There are lots of places you could stay around Girne and this time of year they are crying out for people to stay. I'd try Highlife which is in Karaman/Ozonkoy. The rooms are reasonable and the owners are very friendly. Its quite a small hotel only about 20 rooms. They have a website http://www.highlifecyprus.com/ Another one is the Altinkaya which is on the Belapais road but in Girne. I think Ismet's daughter does furniture packages. Karen

Hi Triumpman, You could try the Pia Bella or Altinkum apartments in Kyrenia, I have stayed in both, excellent. I would say the Pia Bella is the best hotel I have stayed in. 4* and not as expensive as you may think. Cheers........

hi triumphman homepack is part of homefront they are one of the main suppliers of packs made locally very nice people, run by mike o'keefe and miss missus ebru worthwhile going to see them because all their stuff can be seen in the showroom you can have sizes and materials exactly as you want delivery is about 4-6 weeks homefront is the source of joans furniture package on the other side of town olgun also supply many developers they have nice stuff but it is mostly imports so you must allow generous time to be sure it will arrive on the island there are other good firms in girne and lots in lefkosa but there is the problem of being sure that any items needed to be imported for you will be available on the day as it were most developers offer packages of course, if you like their choices this is most convenient but expect to pay somewhat more conversely you can negociate about 15 percent off list if you buy a basic set of furniture from one supplier hope this is helpful!

I can recommend HomeFront. The last items I had made is my Garden Furniture, again to my design. We have also had seating, beds, railings, curtain poles, fire grates. They also make lovely wooden furniture now. Also, if you have a picture of a couch or anything else you like, they will copy it for you. They have their own workshop on site where they make everything, so you can see items in progress. Mike & Ebru are the owners. http://www.homefrontcyprus.com Viv

Hi, we ordered most of our furniture from Homefront - really good prices and will do any style that you want. Also, they were really patient with me when I changed my mind several times. What I would suggest (with hindsight) is that you take pictures of things you have seen that you like (e.g. Habitat) and I am sure they will be able to produce something very similar at a greatly reduced price.

Homefront & Ebru are very good and the quality of what they supply is also very good. This summer I ordered their furniture packs and curtains from them. The quality was very good and they organised to deliver to our apartment in Sea Terra Marina and installed them before I even had a chance to tell the Marina when they would be coming. I researched a lot of companies and found Homefront and the cost and type of furniture that we were looking for our holiday home Naas 26

we used them and they were great. it was all so easy, to say it was all picked over the internet. delivered and put in for us. the beds are very comfy and the sofas are too. i didn't expect them to be. how wrong can you be. the only thing was when they were delivering they marked every door frame. and i mean ever one of them . we asked yigor for some paint to touch up, but never got any. we will buy some from someone else when we go at the end of the month we are going to do the walls anyway as they have been done in matt paint and is marked allready

I thoroughly recommend Homefront as we furnished our whole apartment for a very reasonable sum. We dealt with Ebru and she is fantastic. Can't speak highly of them enough. Pretty sure if you book a 2 or 3 bedroom package you get a complimentary overnight stay for 2 at The Colony in Kyrenia (might have to check the website that the offer is still current though)

There are some very good deals around at the moment my advice is to aviod packages like the plauge as well as so called agents or home designers packs. (there is no such thing as a free lunch) The word to remember is 'inderim' all supliers at the moment are having it hard if time is not a problem try just playing one off against the other you will be suprised at what good deals you get.

Try Botanica on the main road Çatalköy. Great value furniture packs and they make stuff to your own specifications too. Their email address is info@botanicacyprus.net

Msg 20 Hi Gazza We purchased a packaged about 2 years ago and cost about £2500 - £3000 for a package and included one of the sofas being a sofa bed. Excellent quality. Not sure of prices now but gives you an idea. Didn't include curtains, etc but they do them. This was from Homefront.

Hi Triumphman, You sound as if you like the solid wooden furniture - strong stuff made to last! I suggest you Google the website for 'Ronnies Furniture' - they have their own carpentry workshop and that surely makes whatever you buy cheaper. 90% of their customers are British expats. Their shop is a couple of hundred metres on the right from 'Ship Inn' going out of Girne to Karaolanoglu > Alsancak.
