Finally, after 4 years from a plan, my house is ready for my arrival on the 4th.

Would greatly appreciate recommended places to eat locally

depends what you want.

Pub Grub & Burgers or Kleftico, Fish & meze's.

They're all available within a 10 min drive.

Tell us what you like & we can give some more suggestions.

Stevies bar is excellent food, moulos bar is very good food with nice scenery, there is a new bar/restaurant opened on the crystal bay marina site ( opposite side of the road ) which apparently does good food. We have not tried the antique restaurant but someone said that does good food.

We have seen Hati's recommended previously but cannot find the place! Followed the signs in the village but still unable to find it! Is it still open? If so where the hell is it?

hatis is turn left imediately after tumba restaurant and just follow the tarmacked road to the end and you will find hatis but it is not as good as it was she seems more intrested in the computer than her customers and the new terrace is always dirty now in my opinion only

pop inn has no chef and only do snacks but we like the antique is good value

Ditto Stewart,

We signed 4 years ago and I am one week away from a 3 week holiday with my son.

I am going to forget all the hasstle, delays and waiting and I am really loking forward to sitting on my terrace with a large drink of something nice and enjoy for the first time what we have waited a long time for.

I dont care if its not perfect , I am just going to enjoy.

We were up at Hati's last week, had meze to start, almost finished it,

Sea Bream all round,

5 year old had a burger & chips.

Food was perfect, all eaten.

Place was clean.

There was also a surprise birthday party,

attended by the Mayor!

A very good place to eat.

Every visitor we have insists on a visit to Hati's.

Very friendly, and nothing is a problem.

If you don't go there,

it's your loss

Directions to Stevies and Antique:

At bottom of Esentepe hill, where you join the main road, turn right. Go past Alkans on right and about another half a mile is Antique on the left. Keep going on this main road for a few miles until you reach Kucuk Erenkoy and Stevies is on the left, well signposted.

Went with the wife to the Antique in June, very poor, waited almost an hour from time of order to it being put on the table, portions were small, food was cold, will not be going back again

Has the JOYA BAR just opened, we just arrived back home from tatlisu and never saw any signs on the main road. We visited Stevies, Merlins Bar, Esentepe Hotel, Tumba, Remzis all meals were excellent.

For local food, Esentepe Restaurant. Simple, good food at low prices. Lovely family

Try their lachmucan, fish, kebabs etc. Also, Turtle Bay Bistro are now doing fish and

kofte, soon to be followed by BBQ lamb/chick shish. Beno's fish at Alagadi also good.

Disappointed in Hati's, stagnant pool to attract mossies. No menu.

Depends what kind of food you want.

On my first visit to Esentepe 3 years ago the first restaurant I went to was the Villa Hotel after many visits to Esentepe we always return to the Villa Hotel I was there 2 weeks ago the steaks are excellent the staff are friendly great views sat out on the patio and reasonably priced some evenings they have entertainment as well.i would recommend thjat you try to arrive before 8 pm I did find that after that service did slow down when the place got busier that said I am back out again in Sept and I will definately be returning for the best T bone in the TRNC.

If you want traditional then try Hatis its a must great mezi.

We also enjoyed the Antique great views of the sunset I have heard that it can be hit and miss but when we went it was a hit again one I will be returning too

If you enjoy Thai then I can recommend Bo Thai on the Girne road 5 mins from Accapulco we also like China Gardens opposite the Lemar on the same road.

keep posting

keep smiling
