I know that this has already been mentioned a thousand times probably but are there any decent English Bookshops in the North or if not on the Greek side.

Somewhere idealy that has a good selection and not just a few that have been donations

Ozanköy - or kıtabköy!

Ozankoy bookshop has loads of second books -

5 finger / Garden bookshop - loads of new books specialisig in cyprus politics - turkey history - cyprus nature - walks etc - i also stock new kids books all at 10tl and new adults books priced only at 5tl...

all our second books (5 fingers) are 3tl and if you bring them back they are 2tl...ozankoy bookshop open all day

5 finger bookshop open all night!!!!!

Thanks for that Libby! The Ozankoy Bookshop is open 7 days 09.30 to 17.00. Ozankoy must be the book mecca of the north!! Lots of 2nd hand books, all sorted and categorised. Some new arrivals of recent publications and we also have a bargain basement at 2tl. Our new childrens library, costs 10tl to join.

even if you called in to Pegasus on a friday or carpenters, you may be surprised as you can get new prints at 2nd hand prices of 4 - 6tl. It is worth a look if you are passing.

blimey! no wonder i had to go out and get a proper job! all of the above true of course though...also lemar sell new books for 12tl and deniz plaza are starting to get a better selection in......
