There is one to be opened shortly (next month) in the 'Mercure' hotel towards Lapta, an authentic British pub!

In my time here there have been 4 Irish bars that is if you like Turkish Music and being in 'An Irish Bar' weith Turkish/Turkish Cypriot staff. The only Irish thing in them when I went in was me.

On another note. Went to Egypt with friends and went to Murphys Irish Bar which was plastered with huge signs for Guinness. ordered a pint of best G and was told by the Egyptian waiter they had none. Said '' you must have had a lot of Irish in here to be sold out '', waiter said '' we do not sell Guinness '', I said '' but you have signs up saying ' guinness ' waiter said '' thats because we are an Irish pub ''.

If you want a Welsh bar go to the Waterfront in Lapta , you'l find half of Cardiff and very fine food in there.

Hi Gumball, there was one just behind Turkbank in Girne town square. It closed down for refurbishment a coupla years ago. When it re-opened the Irish flag had gone and name had changed. Haven't been in since re-opening.
