Can anyone recommend someone to repair a gas central heating boiler. We have a Solaris combi boiler (made by Demir Dokum) which is approximately 2 years old. It ignites and works for central heating, but won't run hot water. Looking to getting it repaired ready for winter months.

Hi Catalkoykid Yes we did shut off the valves to the roof tank. It was working fine during the first year after the system was installed, but we started getting problems earlier this year. First the hot water would only come on intermittently, running hot initially then running cold. Towards the end of the winter we could only use the boiler for central heating and had to switch over to using the immersion heater for hot water supply.

Don't be tempted to get a "plumber" to fix the boiler - try and get a CORGI type gas engineer to help you sort it.

Parachutes free diving suddenly realised that the two (one emergency) chutes weren't working and as the landmass was quickly approaching, panicking, spotted a man rising from the ground and in desperation screamed, "Do you know anything about parachutes?". "No" came the reply,"What do you know about gas ovens?"! Richard
