Hi all I'm new on here. I wondered if you all might be able to help.



My future wife and I get married at the abbey next July, we're looking for a band, rocky/indie if possible and a DJ to fil in inbetween. Does any one know any one?? The mrs to be is there at the moment looking for bands she flys back next sunday (a week today).



Or...

I have a band in Kuwait that i would like to use but obviously the cost of getting them over with instruments will be expensive does any one know of a place they can hire instruments from??



if you could give me some ideas it would be very much appreciated and if you know of a good band playing this week anywhere for her to go and check out please let me know.

Some airlines carry instruments in the 'hole' for nothing. Stradivarius's a different matter.

I know of a good rock band. Very professional and play all sorts of stuff. I dont know how much they would charge but if you let me know if your interested and i will ask them. Only prob is that they have gigs on certain nights so it would depend on what day your getting married.

Thats great trudy what's the name of the band and do you know if there are any clips of the music on utube anything like that. Certainly interested if i can get to listen to them online first even batter.



Will they still be in N. Cyprus next year?

If you really want the sparks to fly,..



Try using O6 rods, put your visor down, turn up the Acetylene, and try joining Aluminium to Zinc,.. that really is,........

Talking about Weddings, can I mention Wedding Dilemma's?



In Sep my daughter (UK Catholic, as is the Groom) is getting married in Spain and wants me to give a reading during the service and a speech at the reception.



It's all about her day, I want it to be teriffic! Being an atheist though, I'm finding it quite hard to come up with anything appropriate as a speech.



I know a wedding is all about the couple, but often it puts a lot of pressure on the family/friends.

Having just given a speech at my daughters wedding I can empathise. It's not easy even if used to standing up in front of an audience. Certainly don't have to include any religious element, I didn't. I bought a book 'How to write a wedding Speech' from confetti.co.uk to be honest.
