Has anyone heard of these developers. They are building Apartments in Alsancak.



A friend of mine has just has a request for a large amount of money for connection of the Electricity supply which includes (transformer cost, electricity meter, taxes plus telephone line building cost charged by Telecom)



Has anyone else had big charges for this type of work?

Not heard of these guys. I have recently paid £1000 for the connection of water and elacticity, however, I have just been informed by my developer that there are no electricity meters available on the island and I have now been requested to pay 120 YTL per month for electricity, when I won't even be on the site!



Tell your friend to tread carefully and deal through his/her lawyer.

Hi MC, Have just joined so have a thread on page 1, in the last few days have managed to get a few more owners in contact about 6 of us now, we have all had the same request/demand from the builders, but most of us are waiting to see an actual breakdown of costs before we pay. The builder doesn't seem to want to show us or our solicitors. I wonder why?

what does your contract say guys ?



in our case (last 6months) we paid water connection and meter at 1000ytl (to alsancak beledyier) and paid kibtek 174ytl for connection to meters .builder did and included all wires etc upto that stage with price for appartment .



we to have no meter despite paying last novemeber and been kibtek many times ,no meters etc (april has been mentioned by kibtek people) .



was asked at late stages for £1000 from builder for contribution for generator costs ,didnt happen and it turned out this was a transformer anyway ,which is now on site and he had to pay for to get electric signed off by kibtek to the site.



where is monarch contruction in alsancak ?

hi

Monarch contruction is turn left out of kavankoy follow the road to the top turn right at the give way (sign for riverside left) follow this road round up the hill and the complex of two blocks is on the right, just before a sharp turn left and a purple villa.

from the statue of the lady, go past Atakara supermarket turn left up next proper Sokak (villa and palm trees) you should pass some newish development on your right, around the right-hand bend with Kavankoy development on your left then as per message 7 in this discussion.

Statue of Lady is "the golden lady" or "statue of liberty" which is at the turning for Alsancak from the main road.
