Hi,

Has anyone out there bought an apartment in the Life Apartments development in Dogankoy?

Yes Larry my Sister has.......but there has been a recent problem there with the basement flats.......

Hi Nanu 1,



We have bought in Karaoglanoglu, off plan by the same builder. The apartments there are very similar to the ones in Dogankoy, but there are only going to be eight apartments (no basements flats) and eight villas. the agent took us to see the Dogankoy Apartments when we were there last November.(great location and very good price)

Our build was supposed to start the second week in March, but we cant get any information if it has. What did your sister think of the builder? Is her apartment finished and is she happy with it?

I have friends who have purchased at Dogankoy site - also know couple of others with 1st stage appts there. There was prob with site Nov time (shut down for time by Beyledeir) but then things moved on. I spent quite a lot of time trying to work out with B'dere and builder what was going on and passing on to my friends (who are still based in UK ) and also couple of others who have purchased there.

Perhaps we should keep in touch and share info.

I have emailed my agent to try and find out if our building has started yet, and if not what the delay is. when I hear back I will let you know.

you mentioned Beyledeir, who or what is this? and did you find out why the site was shut down?

My comments were Only in respect of the Dogankoy site.

Sorry my "cypriot/turkish" spelling is prob very poor in respect of "Beyledeir" -equivelent (UK) of the local council -roughly !!

Yes i did find out why site (in Dogankoy) was closed down - but it took lots of visits to "council" and builder etc etc. and lots of me taking photos and tel calls and liasing and getting interpretations etc etc !!!Then trying to explain things to friends back in UK (who had already purchased there) having big panic attacks ! (understandably).

But as i said that was back in Nov (ish) and , it seems, the prob was sorted and site reopened. Hopefully things "have moved on" - and from what we have seen recently work on the Dogankoy site is "on - going".

If you need/want any more "detailed" info then please email me.

I am hesitant to give my experience on board in case it worries anyone who has purchased there - when any worry/and my experience may mean absolutely nothing. It is , at end of the day, only "my experience"in providing updates and trying to find out what was going on( at the request of friends/buyers of properties ) on that site .

I will say though that the builder does seem , recently. to be spending a lot of time at the Dogankoy site and work there seems to be moving on.

As i have said on earlier threads - if anyone wants/needs updates/photos etc etc of their sites/builds/plots - please get in touch. After all it must help if a site builder/developer has an "interested" party going around taking photos and providing updates for the buyer !

thats the best news you could have given us!!! thank you very much!!!! I still havent heard anything from my agent. There will be a cold pint waiting for you on our roof terrace when your over visiting your sister!!

I think your sister will be very pleased with the site. we looked at loads before deciding on that one. It is going to be a small development (all the more room in the pool for us) We met with the developer Hasmet Tuncel and found him to be a really nice friendly and helpful young man (who looked more like a male model for Calvin Klein than a builder, when he arrived for our meeting on a top of the range motor bike. not at all like our average Irish builders)

If I give you my email address would it be possible for you to send us on the photos?
