Please can anyone tell me the procedure and cost of car M.O.T.

1) Make sure you have an up to date Emission Certificate

2) Take this certificate and pay your fee at the tax office in Girne

3) Go to the rear of the Police Station in Girne

4) Give the inspector your log book, insurance certificate, emission certificate, Road Tax, old MOT certificate, receipt to say you paid your MOT test fee and the car keys.

5) He will return the paper work, run the tests and issue you with a new MOT certificate assuming he finds all is well. If not, you'll have to get the vehicle repaired and then re checked.

what if you need to get road tax on the same day?? do you get that first when you pay for the mot at the tax office??

also have i got to put rear mudflaps on as part of the MOT test??

Yes you need mudflaps.You know how much mud we get on the roads here,they are a real life saver.
