Due to family circumstances, the owners of these two lovely dogs have to find them a new home...

They are both very loving and obedient, house-trained, good on and off the lead.

SPOT was left to die by his previous owner - he is now almost three years old.

JACK was left at Pertevs when he was 6 weeks old & he is now 6 months.

Julian, the owner, says that both are super dogs to have around.

He would like them to stay together if possible, as Jack has never been on his own before.

Julian's phone number is 0533 835 0375

Good luck in finding them a home, it's seems there are more and more needing homes now as apart from the normal strays/dogs dumped etc. there are the people going back to England having to re-home their animals.

Good luck with Jack and Spot, I hope they find a loving home. We were very lucky to find loving homes for all of our puppies thanks to Cyprus 44 and Pertev.

our two beautiful dogs are still urgently looking for someone to love them and take care of them.

they are both very affectionate, loyal, housetrained and well behaved.

JACK is only seven months old, looks like a miniature great dane, very handsome and full of life.

SPOT is a three year old pointer. he was left to die on the street.

both dogs have been around children and cats, and readily accept new playmates.

unfortunatly, because we are renting when we leave the island we have not been able to find anywhere that will accept two large dogs. if you are looking for a new pet, these two are perfect.PLEASE HELP US.

Come on give Jack and Spot a loving home, its sad if they have to be split, but as long as they get loads of cuddles and walkies I think they will be happy

How does SOS Children's Villages Cyprus help orphaned and abandoned children?

The SOS Children's Village was built in Lefkosa (Nicosia) in 1993. Today, as well as the Village, we have an SOS Youth Facility, an SOS Nursery and an SOS Social Centre. In the beginning of 2007, SOS Children’s Villages started to operate a Family Strengthening Programme in Lefkosa, which enables children who are at risk of losing the care of their family to grow within a caring family environment. In our Village, we enable children to live with a familiy in a warm and safe house and encourage them to become active members of the social community. Their abilities, interests, talents are important to us. We provide them with an education and do our best to give them the life training they need in order to become independent adults. Today we have 12 family houses that currently care for 68 children.

RE msg 22 & 23, lapta29: I really doubt that you gain much sympathy for your (very good) cause by double posting about children in a thread about two dogs. Why don't you start your own campaign - and keep the subject alive - in a separate thread?!

Although it's a rather ridiculous name for my Dobermann Pinscher - he's called "spot" also. This has nothing to do with this thread but my "back to the top" would not add an interesting post either, would it..?

Again I have to ask, why have dogs in the first place if you are not going to be living here permanently or are going to be travelling a lot.

Hmm. Amazing. When British people ask this very valid question (msg 38 & 39) - they don't get the flak when I ask the same question in another thread. Makes you think, doesn't it?

in answer to the two questions.msg.38 and 39.

when we took the dogs in we had every intention of staying here permanently otherwise we would never have taken them in. we have four animals, but when we tried to sort out accomodation we couldn t find anywhere that would accept more than two cats or one dog.DECISION TIME.!!!! how on earth do you choose who to take and who to leave behind? we decided to take the two cats and keep them together, and try to rehome both dogs.hence the thread.
