We are staying at friends apartment in Lapta from Sunday for a week, she has said there is a small waterpark close by however my husband (who is a big kid!!) want to go to the waterpark on the outskirts of Aiya Napa, is it easy enough to get to and can anyone let me know any website where I could plan the route??

Many Thanks

Denise

Hi Denise

We have been living in the TRNC for over 4 years. The waterpark in Lapta is worth a visit with it being so close to you. I havnt been since last year but what I remember it does have 4 good slides. My family and I make the trip to Ayia Napa every year and really look forward to it. The park is called WaterWorld and the Journey takes about an hour and a half. Its a fantastic day out.

Hi Tulik

Thank you very much for the info I went to Waterworld back in 2000 before I met my husband and it looks like there is even more slides there now, he has been looking on the website and really wants to go so I think we might make the journey!! What route would you recommend was the best to take?

Many Thanks

Denise xx

Its a pleasure Denise

We go to the Metahan crossing in Lefkosa, go towards Larnaca then take the turning towards Ayia Napa. Its very straight forward and you can't miss it as its well signed posted. I would have a look though to see if there is a better way.

Just a thought, what vehicle are you taking? Not sure if you're aware about hire cars going over the border or if your using a friends car then you will need insurance.

Thats great thank you for all the info.

We are actually flying into Larnaca so we have hired a car from the South, we are aware we have got to buy insurance at the boarder to enter the North so do we then have to purchase a further insurance to re-enter the south and then again on are way back into the North (sorry hope that isn't too confusing!!).

Thanks

Denise

Um a little, you insurance in the south is normally valid for a month, I have never bought insurance at the border into the north but would have thought would last a certain period of time.

If you want to try the BEST ( IMHO) water park on the island

http://www.fasouri-watermania.com/

It is set in orange groves and on windy days can be more pleasant

Zerochlor

Do you have the entrance fees for the water park in Catalkoy? I believe it's next to The Grove Restaurant - is that right?

Thanks

Would you say fasouri-watermaina would be suitable for 4 year olds? Would there be much for her to go on? Waterworld seems larger.
