Just thought I'd let everyone know - dates for the Shadow of Darkness Dance to be held in ampitheatre in Kyrenia on:

11th & 25th August

8th and 22nd september

The Master of Istanbul, 6th August.

Girne Amphitheatre. The Istanbul Municipality Theatre will present The Master of Istanbul. The play tells the story of a Ottoman noble who wishes to marry off his daughter. After consulting magicians and astrologers, he decides to leave the decision to chance, with unexpected consequiences. Tickets cost 15TL, and are available from the Girne Municipality.



Carmina Burana, 2nd and 3rd September.

8pm, Girne Amphitheatre. Kibris Sanat present Carmina Burana, with The Lehrergesangverin Chorus, Nuremberg, The Aegean Philharmonic Orchestra, Izmir, and the Kibris Sanat Chorus, Girne, Conducted by Bernd Dietrich.

On the coast between the castle and the new harbour. Alongside Ezic peanits, if you know where that is.

For tickets at the Girne amphitheatre, phone 815 2118, and for Salamis phone 0533 863 5332. Tickets cost 20TL at both venues.

Girne amphitheatre - newly built - approximately 1 year old, near to Girne city centre, excellent view of sea & close to resturants.

Saw in the Cyprus Today that last performance of Shadow of Darkness had only 100 or so in audience. Paul Booker from Lapta in letters section said it was a great show with "outstanding choreography."

Might be a good one to catch! Master of Istanbul also sounds a good one!
