| Hi, We have friends who have booked a car from a car hire company (in January!) to be left at Ercan airport last night, it was all booked and paid for, but the car was not there. We have spoken to the company but they "forgot" to book it and now have no other cars available. I have spent all day today phoning round car hire companies to try and get another car. We need a fiesta/focus/corsa/ibiza, anything like that, up until 15th August. If anyone knows of a car hire company that have any cars left at all, please let me know as soon as you can. | Talked to Tom @ IAH yesterday and he had taken an option on a 2 door Corsa for Monday that the customer decided not to take. I think he released it but I guess could get another. He's on here as flightholiday try to email them. |

| you could try Sams Place - they helps us out recently in a similar situation and prices are very reasonable. Sams Place is just before Escape Beach coming from Lapta direction ( sorry you may know that already) |

| Msg 7 thanks - Kelly, if we can help call after 09.30 UK (we are happy to call back) you might have to pick-up the car in Girne. I have no idea if a car is available but very happy to try. |

| thankyou everyone for your help. We actually managed to get a cancellation from Riverside Car Hire today, so they should have the car by tomorrow. I will keep these numbers though, just in case it happens again. Once again, thankyou to everyone |

| Kelly25, These people are our neighbours, why don't you admit it was your company that c*cked up in the first place and actually they will not get a car until Wednesday. Not only did they have to pay for a taxi to get them from the airport but they will have been stuck up a mountain, not a shop in sight, without a car for 3 days. Good job they have nice neighbours!!! |

| Hello Zeytinledere What you say is quite correct and I must admit that I very nearly posted this earlier. Cath, Dave and Charlene are our family and guests of ours in our apartment. It is very dissappointing for us that their holiday has been marred in this way. We have always found everyone at Bufavento to be so wonderfully helpful and kind in every way so we were not surprised at all by the response to this. Thank you so much to everyone for looking after them. From our contacts with Cath they seem to be much more relaxed about this than I would have been and knowing her and Charlene - they have hopefully been enjoying the extra time around the pool. As for the Travel Company though it was a very bad mistake, it does at least seem as though they have tried very hard to overcome it - so thanks anyway Kelly 25. Mainly though thanks so much to everyone at BV. See you in November. Roll on 10:30 Wednesday. David and Helen |
