Went in at 8am today to re-new my car tax, about 8 in front of me and two girls dealing with it at the counter but after 10mins one of them left, so down to one, but she was very quick, and spoke good English.

Not sure of Discount as mine was 364ytl for a Ford Focus weight 1167 kil

I think it was around 30ytl cheaper than last time (big deal)

**DOCUMENTS NEEDED** is your old Tax Disc/Mot/Emission Test certificate/Plus Insurance

No forms to fill out

Out of there by 8.30am very good, there was a long queue forming when I left, so get there early

Hope this helps

Sheila

Cyprisairsoft,

We took our car for its MOT last month. We had the emissions test done in February, but were told at the MOT centre that we had to go & have it done again that day & that it would not need redoing until the next MOT is due in 3 years time.

Its not all bull about the emission test as our emission was also done in February but for the MOT last week we had to renew it . We were told it is now valid for the duration of the MOT ie around three years unless they change it.

Hi all

Had my Toyota Corolla (kerbside weight 1,000 kg) re- taxed last week and had to have MOT and Emissions test prior to presenting documents for tax.

Had to have a new rear number plate cost 15tl, the emissions test cost 20tl, which is now valid for three years and runs concurrently with the MOT which cost 100tl, and paid 243.35tl for the car tax.

I thought the costs were pretty reasonable and it took my friend just 2 days to complete everything, owe him a big drink!!

Regards

Steve

Took mine in for MOT on Friday - last emissions test was two weeks ago, not good enough! Got to take it back again on Monday with an emissions test for that day - then it lasts until the next MOT - OR - until there is another change of the law - OR - until next year when the tax office says I need a new one again!
