Went last night to Archway restaurant in Zeytinlik - wow!!!!! what can I say. Having had a rather disappointing meal there last year we thought we would give it another try and I am so pleased we did it was fabulous!!!!!! beautiful meze and location - the staff could not have been more helpful all for a very reasonable price!!!! Definately a restaurant worth visiting !!!!!

The only surprise is the fact that you'd previously been disappointed. Both the Archway & Cenap in Alsancack have great reputations for their mezes and I'm feeling hungry just thinking about them.

I agree airy fairy Archway takes a lot of beating, been there on several occasions including Christmas Eve/New Year Superb, When we went on Christmas Eve the Owner invited us to Christmas dinner in the Restaurant and wouldn't let us pay a penny sheila

Afun and Murat are the best restauranters in the North 100+ covers per night. All the food is sourced locally. The yoghurt is made in Zeytinlik village. No bullsh.t. No advertising. No hijacking other restaurants that appear on this board. They serve very very good food at a reasonable price. The kitchens are also very clean. AP

If you live our side, try Tervetola, Arif is lovely, his daughter who serves you is beautiful. Arif's wife prepares all the mezes. What you see on the menu is what you pay , apart from drinks, ie wine, beer. Ie, Moussaka, 25tl, for this you get mezze, moussaka, fruit, cake, coffee, brandy and a sweet, don't eat all day, because you won't get through it all.

hi Jax47 Coming from Ozankoy, go to Astro Supermarket Girne, after the car park turn left (by the shoe shop), follow the road straight ahead it gives directions to Archways, very simple Sheila

flower fairy - I agree that Tervetuloa is a good restaurant but if you want a FAB meze you have to go to either Cenap (Alsancak) or Archway (Zeytinlik) these are both meze restaurants serving a huge selection of both hot and cold meze followed by various meat grills - not for the feint hearted!!!!

Thanks Sheila I'm writing all these recommendations (and directions!) in my little book and hope to sample as many as we can fit in during our next visit Lots of the place names are unfamiliar to us so far, but we are learning! Jacki
