| I saw people asking how Lefkosa deal with this, and how the process works, and also i saw a few people saying all sorts of times and stupid hours of waiting. I would just like to inform everyone of how it went today, just incase you are in the process. We arrived at 7am and put our name down on the list. The doors opened at exactly 7.30am and we all went inside and sat on the chairs in the hall. By 8am one of the employees had come out to give us our number, and then at exactly 8.15am they started serving people and we were done and dusted and out by 9.15am So aslong as you get there in good time, you will be done early. |

| i finished my residency permit last friday. It was very easy for us as well. Went around 10 am, had all the paperwork in order. We spent less than 45 minutes there total. Got a number from an employee, waited about 10 minutes, then handed over some more papers. We had to pay a fee, then get some stamps, which took about 15 more minutes, then got it all finished. We didn't have a particularly friendly experience, but it went quickly and efficiently. Although I did have my TC wife with me, which probably sped up the process immensely (showing a wedding certificate with a local may have also done it). We never had any problem in Lefkosa, except finding the actual building, or in Guzelyurt where we live. Sure it's a big paper shuffle, but it went more smoothly than when I moved to the UK and had to do an even greater amount of paper shuffling to be legally allowed to live there. |
