any improvment with 3g ??

Can anyone tel me if 3G Turkcell has improved their service I am in Esentepe/Bacheli area and thinking of switching to turkcell as internet supplier, suits me now as I am not here 4/5 months of the year, would appreciate any feedback on quality of service in this area.

Mine slightly better but I'm in central Girne. I would check with a local computer retailer for his/her opinion as Turkcell will only give you a biased viewpoint.

Hi - we are in Alsancak and it definitely seems better than it was. More consistent and a bit quicker... Sorry but don't know about the Esentepe area...!

I live in upper Kyrenia (through Dogankoy and up the hill). 3G is still pants with very slow download/connection speeds.

they said it didn't cover our area then a friend visited and their's worked, so we went and got it.

anything has to be better than dial up!

best to get someone who has it to visit and try first.

I live in the mountains between Ozankoy and Catalkoy and I have noticed a big improvement in 3G. I have been able to use skype for the first time in 6 months without too many problems.



Has Turkcell improved it's service as per the Cyprus Today article a week ago or is it just that many people leave the island during July and August so therefore there is less using it?



Will it be back to normal ie sloooooww once Sept arrives?

Hi

I live in Bahceli and have Turkcell for the internet, you need to put the setting on GPRS instead of factory setting and then it works better, slow but it's good in the early morning then after 4pm. No good for skype though it breaks up.

Turkcell told me that they were putting extra masts up in the Bahceli area and then we would be able to get 3G but as usual we are still waiting.....

By the way we can still text via Skype on 2G but cannot use the phone or video
