This is a well established company. Take a look ITS NOT TIMESHARE you own a share and after 15 years is sold and you benefit from the property valuve in 15 years. Pretty cheap family holidays for 15 years and a great investment based on prices now in the credit crisis. http://www. wearehome.com

Investment opportunity? Really? Lets look at a 2 bed duplex apartment in Marbella. Maintenance £54 per month = £648pa. You'd like 2 weeks in July at £306.88 per month = £3672pa So your 2 weeks holiday will cost you £4320 without airfares. It doesn't mention electricity charges. 15 years x £4320 = £64,800. According to their 'Returns calculator' figures you pay £27,150, you 'earn' £33,993 giving you a 'profit' of £6843 (assuming 7% growth). How they come up with £27,150 when the actual cost is £64,800 I don't know. The earn £33,993 is a total stab in the dark & assumes anyone would want to buy it 15 years down the line. Doesn't include the 15 years maintenance fees of £9720. Nor does it include cost of airfares. Have I got the figures wrong?

I was just looking at the we are home website and then found this forum through google. I understand that the 15 years payment plan is some kind of finance option, but you can buy this interest free as well. Seems from the website the maintenance is not included, but when you add it up it still seems like a cheaper alternative than the holiday let i pay for in Spain. Dont know if i would call it an investment opportunity (i can think of a few better ones if i tie my money for 15 years) but it seems a smart way to use my holiday budget to actually own a home rather than pay for rentals. Seems that the cheaper the week you buy, the better the returns, and there are some really cheap developments there as well. I'll give them a call.

Too many hard luck stories about timeshare to favour it above good old bricks and mortar, methinks.

Message 8 Having been only born yesterday I won't ask the obvious question. And how long have you worked for the company? "Seems from the website the maintenance is not included, but when you add it up it still seems like a cheaper alternative than the holiday let i pay for in Spain." So you pay over £4320 for 2 weeks in Spain without the cost of flights?

Message 11 Hector. I normally go to Spain in April, and play golf. They charge £9262 for two weeks, plus £33 a month maintenance. Over 15 years that's £15202, i.e. around £500 per week. Which is cheaper than what I pay for a 2 bed one week rental. Return after 15 years "projected" at £17896, this would mean I will go on holiday for free and make a profit. I don't think the return will be as good, but anyway the overall cost seems to be cheaper than my holiday and if I get anything at the end it's a bonus. It's not as attractive if you buy the summer weeks but I think it's good for golf.
