I have a shipment of uk sim cards coming soon. This is a totally new system, basically it gives you a uk mobile number and you can use it in the north and south of cyprus. There is no roaming charges so you can have a uk number in cyprus that friends and family can call you on without any cost to you. The best bit is that if your friends and family have free minutes with their mobile phones tariffs which they all do nowadays they can call you for free. Calling back to the uk is only 35p a min to a mobile and 30p to a landline. I think this is cheaper than turkcell and telsim. This also works in Turkey and most of europe. I just came back from the usa and even used it there, never cost a penny to receive calls. If anyone is interested or has any questions please let me know. My email is tony@thepiedpiper.uk.com or reply here.

The sim cards are £30 and they come with some credit. They are a world wide sim card and work in almost all countries. They have roaming agreements with all the major operators including Turkey, North and South Cyprus. You can use your sim card instead of Turkcell or Telsim as I said before calls to the UK are 30p to a landline and 35p to a mobile. All you need to do is pop the sim card into your phone and it will connect to either telsim or turkcell network and then you can make and receive calls, thats it. I have been using one now for over two months and it has saved me a lot of money. My friends, family and work colleagues call me out of their inclusive minutes for nothing and I dont pay anything to receive the call. This handy for people who have a business or need to be contacted while they are away.

The sim card is pay as you go and not contract. You can top up via the phone using a credit or a simple way to top up is online and is very simple to do, once it is done you can set it up to auto top up once you get to a low limit. To receive text messages and calls in North and South Cyprus is completely free and you can send messages to anywhere in the world including the south. Please note that if you want just to use the sim for incoming calls only you only need to have a small amount of credit in order to receive calls and text messages and it will last for 15 months without topping up. I hope that this has answered everyones questions so far but please if you need anymore info just ask.

To send a text message back to the UK is about 42p. message 12. If someone phones you from the UK using their free minutes the call is free. If someone phones you from the UK using their landline the call is classed as calling a mobile in the UK, dependin on the telephone company this could be as low as 6p per min. I cannot tell you how good this sim card is its absolutely brilliant as my friends and family are calling me for a lot less than it would cost to call a turkcell or a telsim phone, plus going to the south side doesnt require you to change sim cards as it will automatically detect the greek networks.

We had one of these called mycherrymobile.com, It worked for about 1 month and we topped up online. we constantly found it would not connect and it would charge you credit during the period of it trying to connect. Everybody complained that they could never get hold of us ont he number. We where told it connected through LITHUANIA or something like that. Sorry to be negative although we had a bad experience.

Hi Arek Naw please note there are alot of sim cards on the site you mentioned none of which can receive calls for free, meaning even if anyone calls you, you still have to pay. This is a totally different thing it works both ways it is free to receive calls and cheap to make calls and the service is reliable. Please note that you are relying on the turkish cypriot networks if someone is trying to call and cant get through its not the sim but the network. I have had many problems with people trying to get through to me on my turkcell number so bear that in mind guys.

Please read carefully sim4travel charge you 39p a day whether you use it or not. this works out to almost £12 a month. My sim cards do not charge this daily rate, I have had 10p credit since I came back from the UK and have been receiving calls all week.

RE: message 17 Send a Free Text Message That's right - you can send a text message to a Global SIM user for free. That's free to you AND free for the user to receive. How cool is that! Just enter the mobile number of the Global SIM user you wish to contact (excluding the country code), write your message and click on SEND. Your message will be sent immediately. Is there a better way to stay in touch with friends or loved ones for free? Happy texting! if your both useing global sim! good isnt it
