Sorry to hear of your news, Shazam is right, regarding going to the reps at Larnaca, Thompsonsfly took several that just waited at the check in, paid on the spot. The flight was a late one, several seats were empty. Good luck, x

Zey my sister died recently and the funeral was for 4 days later try as I might I couldnt get a flight until a lovely customer offered me his with a name change.Do you know anyone that may do this for you. Try the advice offered it will work I know. Good luck and my sympathy to you and your family xx

My husband had to fly back urgently one day. Just went to Ercan and got a flight straight away. They keep seats free incase of Government etc needing to fly urgently to Turkey.

thank you so much eveyone for your kind efforts. I have to speak to the coroner tomorrow to find out when I can arrange the funeral so I don't know exactly when I need to fly but have taken all your advise and will use it.

Hi,

Thanks to everyone, Tom @ flightholiday was extremely helpful both with trying to organise flights for us and transport when we get back to UK, would recommend him and if we had more time would use him but we did manage to get flights through Sunisland near the Colony at short notice. We fly out Wednesday morning so thanks to everyone again and Tom thanks again for your help.

Last night I called and they were offered and we optioned Pegasus and I could also have offered CTA but they gave us dates on which CTA was not available (to Manchester or Birmingham). Today they were offered Turkish to both.



It's all in who you know.

DC the best way is either to email us with the details or catch me on skype (flightholiday) We need to know each persons details for ticketing as we try to hold seats for our travellers -- it takes more time BUT it does mean when we offer something it is on option and the offer is real and valid - otherwise I could tell you we have all tickets for £1.00 and then rack them up when I have your money, not the way we choose to operate.



We do get overloaded and our systems are all manual so we might not be fast at times - you deal with real people who can and do enjoy looking after people - none of us are "sales people" and our web systems all end up with a real person dealing with the enquiry.

We can supply svheduled flights into Laranaca (and a few charters too) there are some excelent links from our http://www.flightholiday.co.uk web site (if you go through our links on the site each time we earn a few pennies every time there is a sale - so we would appreciate it - every now and again we get a small payment and that helps to keep the admin costs down).



At IAH we do prefer to sell flights in to Ercan (which we do manualy from the office) as we are keen to support North Cyprus. Also in my view, if there ever are border crossing problems they will not affect those flying to or from Ercan.

Thanks Tom, its just convenience that we fly into Larnaca, as London/Manchester long haul this end, so it makes the Ercan flights a no go at the moment. We are all keen to support the North, but one has to look at how to do this, we find that flying into Larnaca we can come over 3or4 times year, if we fly from the London to Ercan perhaps 1or 2 times, that means we spend less money etc over the year. But thanks for your help.

The border problem should not arise we are all British Citizens and hold a valid passport, so should be able to travel freely over the borders. If the Greek side play up, it should be reported to the British Embassy, I know in the past that they have been difficult , but it does not bode well in the peace neg if they start their little games. lol

PS It seems like it might be Manchester from your post and there are plenty of flights from there and Birmingham too.



PPS With regard to the border issue all you need to remember is that they call them the Turkish Occupied Territories (implication it might be a war zone) and if they were to want an excuse to stop or hinder crossing they will find one even though you hold an EU passport
