A socalled "shortie" in Cyprus Today (August 8, 2009, page 9) informs us about the merge of the two taxi drivers' oganisations in TRNC. The new organisation will tackle the two biggest problems: bus services two and from Ercan Airport - AND COMPETITION FROM ILLEGAL TAXI DRIVERS.

Oh boy...

No snitching here - but a mobile number to do just that will be published shortly, I'm told.

Oh boy...

Hans

Hence the dolmas bus service to Bellapais which was 'bought out at any cost' as it interfered with the only licenced Taxi run service so created a monopoly. Talat stood by and did nothing, no doubt a cousin of his owned the Taxi franchise!

You try and be as fluent, articulate and scribe in your second language as Hans does. You must be so faultless that when you walk down the street scorching the ground behind you, the sun really does shine out of your derriere!

DC, does anything about you strike me as someone who speaks German in a correct and grammatical way.You just replied to someones comment about your mistake in which two, to, too to use in a statement and did so in Dutch, I think and your defencive stance to my comment is to correct my pub german.

Sort yourself out man, I have told you before that you are obviously far more intellectual than I am, shame about the quiz night though wasn't it.

Firstly, Not another dig at you DC but lived in several parts of germany for a total of 5 1/2 years and never once got asked "Was ist los mit Ihnen?"

Did get asked "Vas is los mit sie"on many occasions.

It may well be a colloquialism and incorrect as per the books but that was my only reference so my apologies for being incorrect but yes, that is what I meant !!

What a shock DC you turn it into an anti brit campaign, why on earth would I be speaking german good or bad dialect to another brit, think about it !!

You know, you are the epitamy of academics, you learn everything from books and believe that everything is incorrect if it is not recorded in abiik.

Here is a question that my University professors could not give me an answer to but you might, If a degree qualification requires that you pass an exam to qualify, who decided that those questions were of the correct value. Somebody or a body of someones if you wish decided the first exam but who judged that to be the level of requirement ????????

Why can I do better Dutch it was a statement not a quiz, Let me think, I was talking german to this English guy the other day which was confusing because I am Scottish and he only spoke Swahili and this Dutch gut jumped out of the crowd and pointed out that our french was terrible.

If the answer to the question is that easy why do you need the money to buy the books now or wait till tomorrow to download it free from Limewire

BTTP, if you have heard it a hundred times (by the way that is a grammatical error and a coloquialism aswell: one hundred or at the very worst 1 hundred, maybe even several hundred) you should know by now it's annoying to turn a difference of opinion into a racist grudge. After all you would more than likely be offended if I started being abusive against the dutch although as inconcsequential as they are it isn't very likely.

Another easy one for an academic such as yourself, explain the irony of the required qualification to be an engineer when the very name is derived from inginuity which is the ability to decypher the problem analytically and for anyone who is not as impressed as I am at my own big words, able to work through a problem and solve it with their own mind, not by reading a book

Oh Dutch that is such a dissapointment, I am just starting to have fun and I am sober enough to not get offended by some, not all of your comments.

On a more serious note, I would like to sit down the next time we are both at the Grouse and have a chat and I'll even buy you a few. I enjoy a lively conversation and if we can get past the dutch-brit appreciation society I'm sure it would be entertaining. The last time we had a good debate on here I'm afraid I got a little, well actually alot tense but you hit a particularly sore subject of mine and as I said at the time my wife was the wise one who told me to stop typing.

All the best Dutch, may your Crusades be many and worthwhile

Hi Brins, the "free George Davis" campaigners only "ripped up| one ground, Headingley, and the only reason the Test Match was abandoned was because of the oil they poured on the wicket.

ps it's dolmus, not dolmas. And seeing as Proger1 is male, there should be ne "e" on the end of "derrier". galiba,
