Directions: Into to Nicosia across the main set of lights, left a the TurkCell head office about 1/2 a mile and turn right, it is the first right turn you will come across, park up. The white nissan hut type building will be to the south. You go into the office take a ticket like one does in the bank go up to the front desk and ask for a transfer form. Fill it in with your (vendor) details and purchasers details. Documents required Vendor passport Purchaser passport Registered log book Turkish Lira (should get change out of 300TL) Stamps (should get change out of 10TL) Note: It is best if both the vendor and purchaser to do the transfer together otherwise you will both require a Muhtars letter. Not so complicated me thinks )) Codger thanx for the beer!

Did it two days ago. Buyer brought the forms. Both of us filled and off we went to the mukhat who when he had checked our identities signed the form. The buyer went tolefcosia with the form and the logbook and returned with the logbook endorsed with the buyers name. Buyer paid for all including the 10 ytl to the mukhtar

If you are the seller there is no need for you to go to Lefkosa as well as the buyer if you live in the Kyrenia area. Both go to the Notary office - next door to Chopstix Chinese Restaurant - Kyrenia Turkish Quarter. The transfer paperwork can be done there. You still need buyers and sellers passport and car log book. The Notary completes the paperwork and charges about 30TL both buyer and seller sign the paper this is then given to the buyer who has to take it to Lefkosa, you the seller can then walk away. The buyer then takes the transfer paper, log book and passport to Lefkosa, pays the transfer cost (250TL last year) and that is it.
