The firm said the impact had been "more significant than expected". Thomas Cook lost £49.5m in the nine months to June, after also being hit by costs from its merger with My Travel. The company said it was seeing more late bookings for this summer, but that the proportion of its holidays sold remained similar to last year after it scaled back capacity. |

| I know it sticks in your throat you Yorkshire people, but crossing the Peninnes to Manchester will get you some good deals to Cyprus. |

| Now now Timothy.....we DO class Manchester as a Nothern airport ! Cheap flights to Ercan aren't exactly abundant there......that's why it's Larnaca for us in a few weeks time! |
