Dining Out

Going out for a meal in the Esentepe/Tatlisu or east Girne area.

Can anyone recommend somewhere for a vegetarian, no fish either, to eat.

For one of our friends on holiday.

Surely most places offer so many vegetarian dishes and Mezes that it shouldn't be a problem.



Just ask for something such as spicy Aubergine & Tomato with a cheese topping to be served as a main course.

Try info@tatlisubelediyesi.org restaurant is on the bottom of the page , also Stevies bar would accomodate you no probs . Hope this helps .

Ended up at Shayna Beach,

Good meals had all round.

inc fillet steak and peppered steak,

for the non-veggies

If you want to take your friend out again for a veggie meal or just enjoy cheap good food with a brilliant atmosphere try the restaurant in Esentepe which is up past the sports club on the left. Sorry, in my excitement at finding a place that did a different veggie dish to the usual hellim (the owners wife is Chinese and will whip you something veggie up) I didn't notice the name but I know it does begin with Z!!!!! And best of all....................... NO CHIPS It is a really good fun, basic restaurant mainly used by the locals with music and dancing provided by the folk eating there

Hi Jupiter, thank for that. I was kicking myself that I hadn't taken more notice of the name. I can honestly say that the night out there was the best we've had since we came to Cyprus! In fact I just might need another "fix" quite soon

Zirdeli is advertising 2 specials - Monday night is fish and chips for 10 tl. And Wednesday night is free wine night. The atmosphere there is terrific no matter which night you go on. Went to the fish and chip night a couple of weeks ago and it was really good - served with beautiful mezes. Played live music - very enjoyable.
