I'm starting to feel like i am back in Birmingham!! Now, i am an avid curry fan, anyone who knows me, knows that i could happily live on curry forever...however...the sheer volume of Indian restaurants is becoming really daunting!! What about a Thai restaurant, or a Mexican restaurant or even a simple Subway sandwhich shop...hell i'd be happy with a Spud-U-Like stand....come on, are all these curry places really neccessary??? Or am i the only one who thinks this? DD

| daisy, Given that the Indian Restaurants are all owned by the same family, and that each and every one of them wants to own their own restaurant, what sort of restaurant would you suggest that they open? - And before you say Anything, I'm not going to an Italian Restaurant owned and operated by Indians! - well, not unless they can convince me that they have spent many years learning the 'Biz' in Italy! | Well...maybe they should move one of their many restaurants to the lot opposite me!! I love curry, but i don't have transport, so this one would make 'me' very happy! However, as i said in message one, there are a whole variety of restaurants that could be opened! I'm beginning to feel slightly insulted that these restranteurs seem to think that all we english eat are roasts and curries!! DD |

The Harvester? The only good thing about the Harvester is when you leave. We went for a friends birthday, (not my choice), everything that had to be cooked was cooked so it resembled charcoal, salad was days old, the Beers wern't cold. Cooked and served by Polish, I'm sure if NegativeNick went, it would be a 0/10, and we all know he doesn't give those out often!

@9 Certainly very good indeed. The old guy who runs it has been on the island for donkey's years. It is very amusing to hear Turkish spoken with a Chinese accent. Another "excellent" Chinese venue is Chopsticks near the fire station in old Kyrenia. Have always had good food there.

I think i have eaten in every chinese restaurant in the north, and am sad to say i don't believe i have ever really enjoyed any of them! However...if one opened up acoss the road, i would force myself to enjoy it, simply because it would be 5 steps from my front door!! Or better yet, why don't these copious indian restaurants do deliveries???...To me luxury spells having food bought to my front door!! superb! DD

DD you mentioned Thai food have you been to Bo Thai in Çatalköy. As for Chinese the best has to be the take away next to Lemar at Karakum, can't think of the name off hand. Only down side is they don't deliver but well worth collecting. Also agree with Cyprusraider Chopsticks is excellent value but their menu is limited. Blakey

Hey DD! I just went on http://www.yemeksepeti.com (the online home delivery restaurant service) and it looks like in Karşiyaka the only place that could deliver to your door would be Guido's! Great thing is you can order online so you don even have to use your phone credit! Hope this helps! See you soon Natx
