Speak to Lydia on 0392 8213197 - she is very helpful. Must just say though - your budget is a bit low!!! I rent where I live and it is very difficult to find anything below £200 per month. Good luck though!

Blackpoolfan, You are spot on, I think some of these people looking for rentals have absolutely no idea of the overheads involved. Our maintenance charges are £110 per month + insurance and then the 10% rental tax. If we rented for £150 per month we would be out of pocket. I have cut my rental charges to the bone but there is always someone who will do it for less. The butlers wife

To be honest, I would rent mine out for no profit! At the moment, it is costing me for yearly running costs and no return, so if I can break even, so much the better. It's not always black & white!!!

Re message 11 and 15, Prehaps you should consider the local wages, many earn 1,200 tl per mnth. If your property has high maintenance fees, you should re consider maintenance company. There are many places here without such charges as they are not located on large sites. I know I will find a suitable unfurnished place, for long term, I hope you find tennants that are prepared to pay for the huge site fees where your propeties are located. Previously i have owned and rented out properties in other countries So YES i do know what it is like to be a landlord.

Helper, Firstly i am on a small site of 24 apartments, £30 management costs is the average for the TRNC i have 3 apartments in Lapta and Kyrenia fully rented no problem if the minimum wage is 1200ytl then people should get a part time job as well or get one that is better paid. £150 a month equates to £35 a week like pipie i would love to see the pictures of the shack sorry apartment you manage to rent!!!!!!!!!

Our site is £1200 per year and we have recently appointed a new management company to look after it. We have done a lot of research and decided on a fund managed site. We know where every penny goes and I can tell you that it cannot be managed for less, unless we manage it ourselves. We cannot do this because of the antiquated employment laws here. You need a work permit to even manage your own site. The butlers wife

I would be interested in more information on this. However, I have already been told by the powers that be, that it is not legal to manage your own site. How do you get round being paid for caretaking and cleaning etc. The butlers wife

I read about the maintanance charges are the local companies in a "CARTEL" sort of situation and also why cant the British and irish property owners sort it out with some of the younger british residents living on the sites all year around or are small self employed folk not allowed to work if they are not TC
