Hi All

Does anybody know where I can find a nice (and not fake) turkish carpet?

Im looking for a large one to put in the lounge. Best way at times to improve the place.

Im based around Girne.

Hi Herbert

There is a shop called Songular at Bellapais traffic lights. They have a good selection of carpets, rugs etc and competitively priced. Also you could have a look upstairs in Toros.

Toros is on the main road between the Lefkosa roundabout and the fountain roundabout, close to Mr Pound if that helps.

There is a shop near the Harbour. Next to the little shop that sells the Lanterns...help me out people...

The guy has THE most amazing carpets, the gorgeous colours you'd expect and every shape and size.

Vidal that is the shop just up from the Liman Casino. Both that and the lantern shop are great in my opinion and I have bought many things there. I believe that the carpet shop is going to close and I was told that the carpets have been greatly reduced so I would pop along quick and snap up a bargain. He really is a very nice man and always serves us tea or coffee when we go in.

Blakey if you were walking towards the harbour from the Dome hotel then you go up the steps by the Liman Casino and the shop in question is a hundred yards or so up on the left.

Well make sure you don't shop at Allied Carpets as they've gone into Administration.
