In the hope that somebody can help

My pool is clean, the sides are clean and I dont have algea.

I have ample sand in the filter and have backwashed yesterday

I dont have air in the filter and overflow the pool for 8 hours in 24hours (2 hours at a time) it stands longest over night.

A few weeks ago I had a similar problem, I dug my hand into the sand filter to make sure the sand wasnt hard and topped it up as it was only just covering the top pipe into the filter. It was great for about 3 weeks, however the chlorine level was high after shocking and flocking and as the chlorine level has dropped back to 3 (as recommended)) it has started to go milky...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ta

Just to add - my PH is the recommended low and my chlorine level as I mentioned was high when the pool was sorted out but now is back to the normal level.
