My famely and I are thinking of renting a 2 bedrom semi-attached villa/apartment at TBV in June 2010.



Have som qustions...about everything realy...



Weather - how hot is it usualy in May/June?

Beach - how is it?

Pools - clean? clorin?

The village bistro and Kings bar - what do they serv? English or local food/drinks

Guns Bus Service - cost how much 1 one?

Taxi from Kyrenia - cost how much

People - only English or many different (we are Norwegian)

Children - many kids? (we have 2 boys ages 3 and 6)

Bugs - any bloodsucking creeps?



This is what I can think of right now.

But there will surely be more questions before we book our holiday for next year.

Weather - how hot is it usualy in May/June? Around around mid May to Mid June 25 to 28 then rising to 30 to 32 degrees centigrade the second half. No humidity so doesn't feel that warm.

Beach - how is it? Many small ones. Some charge, many don't. Mostly clean.

Pools - clean? clorin? Never heard of any complaints of pools on "villages".

The village bistro and Kings bar - what do they serv? English or local food/drinks English and local. Local and international drinks. The number lager is Efes.



Guns Bus Service - cost how much 1 one? Pass!



Taxi from Kyrenia - cost how much Pass!



People - only English or many different (we are Norwegian) There are many nationalities but 90% are English. Some Norwegians are on the Island. We sold our home to Norwegians.



Children - many kids? (we have 2 boys ages 3 and 6) Hundreds of Kids. Sure you will find many on TBV



Bugs - any bloodsucking creeps? Only the Mosquitoes, but they are more an irritant than a deadly bug

Back on track and ignore the usual squabbling Jeanette, go ahead and book your holiday and you will all have agreat time, loads for the kids to do and you will meet many friendly people including Norwegians.

Just wear some sun block and insect repellant(like any where hot) and make sure you know who manages the apartment and you will be absolutely fine.

Loads for the kids to do on site.

You should talk to the person who is renting you the flat.



Much of it should be information they provide (or find out) so if there is a problem (hopefully not) you both know what has been said.



They are profiting form it and also should give you some service.



Note that any thoughts on this BB may be biased, might be out of date or even incorrect



One of the other posters said you will have a great time – I think they are absolutely right but do remember the country is not “Europe” so some things might be not what you would expect in the EU



I know nothing of TBV so can't comment
