A 12 bore shot gun. It works everytime! Seriously though. Yes, pigeons are a problem here. Call Handyman (not sure of the number but advertises weekly in Cyprus Today). He speaks English and can arrange for metal spikes to be installed on the roof and get it cleaned for you.

We had the same problem and cured it by stretching fishing line across where the pigeons roosted and giving them a good soaking with a supa soaka water pistol. Graham

What you need is a plastic owl perched somewhere - pigeons hate owls!

Hi there We have a massive bird problem where I work and although killing them works others always come back (I am speaking from experience, Current experience). We shot a couple of hundred back end of last year and they are back already (not the same ones before you ask). The cheapest way is to buy the aluminium spikes which are available on a roll or plastic ones (not as effective) . If you nail or attach them to the areas you dont want them to land/roost they will go elsewhere and at least enable you to minimise the mess they cause in the areas you use frequently. Using this in combination with shooting them will reduce the numbers causing you problems. If you havent got an air gun, put a net on the floor put bred or something on the net and then catch them that way and dispose of them in a manner you chose. There are audio (sonic) devices available but they are not cheap . Good luck
